Ingredients

  • 1 cup pizza sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni or your favorite pizza toppings
  • For the Crust:
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust or homemade if preferred
  • Optional: 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the Beef Mixture
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onions until the beef is browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat. Add the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Prepare the Pie Crust
  • Unroll the pie crust and place it into the pie dish, pressing it gently to fit the dish. Trim any excess crust around the edges if needed.
  • Assemble the Pizza Burger Pie
  • Pour the beef mixture into the prepared pie crust. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture. Top with pepperoni slices or any additional pizza toppings you like.
  • Bake the Pie
  • Place the pie dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. If the crust browns too quickly, cover the edges with aluminum foil.
  • Garnish and Serve
