- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce or more, depending on preference
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 3-4 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey optional
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder.
Optional: Sear the chicken in a hot skillet with a little oil until golden brown.
Place sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
Add the chicken on top of the onions.
In a mixing bowl, combine Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and brown sugar/honey (if using). Mix well.
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated.
Cook on Low for 4-5 hours, or on High for 2-3 hours.
Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
