  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1 cucumber julienned
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the sushi rice thoroughly until the water runs clear to remove excess starch. Cook the rice in water according to package instructions, typically simmering for about 20 minutes until tender and fluffy.
  • While the rice is cooking, cut the nori sheets into thin strips to use as a garnish for the sushi bowls later on. Set them aside for now.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir the mixture until the sugar completely dissolves, creating a sweet and tangy seasoning for the cooked rice.
  • Once the rice is ready, pour the vinegar seasoning over it and gently fold it in to ensure the rice is evenly coated. Let the rice sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors and cool slightly.
  • Divide the seasoned rice among serving bowls to create a fluffy base for the toppings. Arrange the sushi-grade raw fish, sliced avocado, julienned cucumber, and carrot attractively on top of the rice.
