Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Electric mixer
  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • 1/2 cup strawberry juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, and lemon juice to make a syrup. Simmer until the sugar dissolves completely. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature before using it to sweeten the dessert layers.
  • Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, mix together the mascarpone cheese, vanilla extract, and a portion of the prepared syrup to create a creamy mixture for the tiramisu.
  • Dip ladyfinger cookies in the remaining syrup and arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of a baking dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the cookies, then add a layer of sliced strawberries. Repeat this process for a second layer.
  • Finish the tiramisu by topping it with whipped cream and generously dusting cocoa powder over the top. Refrigerate the dessert for a minimum of 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld and set properly.
  • Before serving, ensure that the tiramisu has set in the refrigerator and has a firm texture when touched. This chilling time is crucial for the dessert to achieve the perfect consistency.
  • Serve slices of the Strawberry Tiramisu chilled, savoring the delightful combination of creamy mascarpone, sweet strawberries, and tender ladyfingers. Enjoy the fruity twist on this beloved classic dessert.
