Ingredients
  

  • For the Shrimp:
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Rice and Toppings:
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 ripe avocado sliced
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • For the Spicy Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce or more to taste
  • 1 tsp lime juice

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp and season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Rice and Toppings
  • While the shrimp cooks, prepare the white rice and keep warm.
  • Slice the avocado and drizzle with lime juice.
  • Step 3: Make the Spicy Sauce
  • In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, hot sauce, and lime juice. Adjust salt and spice to taste.
  • Step 4: Assemble the Dish
  • Place the cooked rice in bowls.
  • Top with the garlic butter shrimp and sliced avocado.
  • Drizzle with the spicy sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

Add a handful of cilantro or green onions for extra freshness.
