Fluffy Cinnamon French Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 8 slices thick-cut bread preferably day-old
  • 2 tbsp butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving
  • Powdered sugar optional

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Egg Mixture
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt until smooth and well combined.
  • Step 2: Soak the Bread
  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 2-3 seconds per side. Be careful not to let it get too soggy.
  • Step 3: Cook the French Toast
  • Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet and swirl it around to coat the surface.
  • Place the soaked bread slices in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Step 4: Serve
  • Serve with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

For fluffier French toast, use thick-cut brioche or Texas toast.
You can add a little whipped cream or fresh berries for an extra touch of flavor.
