Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Tongs
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Wooden spoon
  • Medium saucepan
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 packs of ramen noodles
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Nori sheets
  • Bamboo shoots
  • Chili oil

Instructions

  • Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then simmer them in the chicken broth over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until they are fully cooked. Once cooked, remove the chicken, shred it using two forks, and set it aside for later.
  • Utilize the same pot with the flavorful broth to incorporate soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Stir the mixture well and allow it to simmer to enrich the broth’s flavor. Proceed to add the ramen noodles and cook them until they are tender, following the package instructions.
  • While the noodles are cooking, bring water to a boil in a separate saucepan and carefully add the eggs. Boil the eggs for 7 minutes for a slightly runny yolk or 10 minutes for a firmer yolk. Once boiled, peel the eggs, cut them in half, and set them aside to be used as a topping.
  • Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls, then generously ladle the flavorful broth over them. Top the noodles with the shredded chicken, boiled egg halves, and chopped green onions to add a touch of freshness and color to the dish.
  • To enjoy the chicken ramen soup at its best, serve it hot, allowing the savory broth to warm you from the inside out with each spoonful. The combination of tender chicken, flavorful broth, and perfectly cooked noodles creates a comforting and satisfying meal.
  • Elevate your ramen experience by customizing your soup with additional toppings such as nori sheets for umami richness, bamboo shoots for a delightful crunch, or chili oil for a hint of spice. These extra layers of flavor and texture will enhance your overall enjoyment of the dish.

Notes

Customize your ramen by adding vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bok choy.
For extra heat, drizzle some sriracha or chili oil on top before serving.
Make it vegetarian by substituting tofu for the chicken.
Use low-sodium chicken broth if you prefer to control the saltiness of the soup.
Freshly squeezed lime juice can add a zesty kick to your ramen.
