Beef and Cheese Burrito

A hearty burrito filled with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and your choice of toppings, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Equipment

  • Large flour tortillas
  • Grater (for cheese)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • Optional toppings: lettuce tomatoes, avocado, jalapeños

Instructions
 

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Stir in taco seasoning and water, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave or on a hot skillet for a few seconds.
  • Spoon the beef mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cheese and any desired toppings.
  • Roll up the burrito by folding in the sides and rolling tightly.
  • Serve with sour cream and salsa.

Notes

You can add refried beans or rice to make the burrito even more filling.
For a spicier version, add hot sauce or diced jalapeños to the filling.
