Step 1: Cook the Noodles
In a medium pot, cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Brown the Ground Beef
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon until fully browned and no longer pink (about 4-5 minutes). Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Step 3: Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the ground beef and stir to combine.
Step 4: Thicken the Sauce and Add Noodles
Add the cornstarch-water mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens slightly (about 1-2 minutes).
Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together until the noodles are coated in sauce.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Serve hot and enjoy
